BEAUTIFICATION

Clean up the area

Together with local residents, volunteers and artists work hard prior to the festival to clean up, tidy up, beautify and develop the neighborhood. In this way the living conditions are improved, the area is developed, it becomes more interesting for investors and visitors, and the sense of pride and ownership of the neighborhood residents.

Painting

Empty fallen walls are brightened up with street art that is made before each Kaya Kaya street party. New fresh colors are painted on the houses to create a clean and interesting look.

Infrastructure

Easy pathways such as stairs are build for everyone to walk on. The stairs are not only beautifully painted but they are usefull as wel.

volunteers

Volunteers help to keep the are clean. In their free time they help working towards the goal of beatificating the area by picking up trash, moving broken down cars and freeing pathways.

Cleaning

We are cleaning the area together with the local inhabitants before each event and by organizing clean up days.

FSO

Fundashon Ser'i Otrobanda is started the beautification of Ser'i Otrobanda, then we as Kaya Kaya came along. Now we are cleaning up the area together.

Sustainability

We only used paper cups and encouraged and facilitated
vendors to use degradable food serving materials.
